Alton is located at Mount Macedon, approximately 60 kilometres north west of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. The 26 acre hill station property includes a 10 acre botanical garden, a large Venetian-gothic house built in the 1870's and a small farm, all of which is being carefully restored by the owners, the Eshuys family.

Group bookings are available for garden tours at Alton, catering is also available.
Alton is open every year with Australia's Open Garden Scheme. Opening times will be posted closer to the date.
