Garden Open Days

In Spring 2003, Alton opened for two days, with over 350 people visiting the garden.

 Many visitors return year after year and remark at the changes that have occurred at Alton. This is satisfying for the Eshuys family and staff, as it recognises the commitment to restoring the property back to its former grandeur.

We appreciate the support the community gives us on such open days.

Alton is part of the Open Garden Scheme of Australia and the garden is opened to the public in Autumn and Spring each year.

Indulge yourself at our courtyard cafe with  homemade soup, sandwiches, cakes, coffee & tea, gourmet sausages, and of course our homemade 'Alton Hamburgers' that will keep you coming back season after season!! All food is supplied by Sitka FoodStore and Cafe.

Take a piece of Alton home with you from our plant stall.

We are now taking group bookings for private garden tours at Alton including gourmet morning tea and lunch.
